Bronze Cross/Standard First Aid & CPR C & Automated External Defibrillation Course

Bronze Cross is designed for lifesavers who want the challenge of more advanced training. Bronze Cross teaches the difference between lifesaving and lifeguarding, the principles of emergency procedures, and teamwork. Lifesavers learn the skills involved in the rescue of a victim with a spinal injury, the rescue of an unconscious victim, and the rescue of a victim with deteriorating circumstances.

Endurance swim of 600 meters in 18 minutes is required for successful completion of this level.

Successful participants receive the Bronze Cross and Lifesaving CPR C awards.

100% attendance and participation is recommended.

Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion (participants must provide Bronze Medallion card to the instructor at the first class)

Next Lifesaving Level: Distinction or at 16 years of age: Lifesaving - National Lifeguard Service Award (NLS) or Lifesaving & First Aid Instructor Course
